1

Single Tooth Replacement

If you have lost just one tooth, a single implant will be inserted into the gum. A dental laboratory will then fabricate a crown from porcelain that will be a perfect match for the teeth on either side. This will be cemented to the abutment or screwed into place and will stay permanently in position, indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

2

Multiple Tooth Replacement

Implants can also be used to fill the gap if you have lost more than one tooth.

For example, if three teeth need to be replaced, two implants can be used to support a three-tooth bridge. The teeth will be replaced without disturbing the healthy teeth next to them so this will be much less traumatic for your natural teeth than a conventional five-tooth bridge.

The bridge also will be much stronger and you will suffer far less bone loss.

3

Implant-supported Dentures

Implants can also be used to support dentures for a totally natural look even if all of your teeth are missing.

Here we use the latest in 3D CT scans to identify the precise points where the implants need to be placed, in order to support a full arch denture and recreate the look of your natural teeth.

Implant-supported dentures offer complete security, you can bite into an apple or chew a crusty bread roll just as you could with natural teeth. You can also remove the dentures for thorough cleaning to boost your confidence even further.

FAQS

It is important to practice good daily oral hygiene, including brushing and flossing. It is also important to see your dentist and dental hygienist regularly for specialist cleaning. We will also need to monitor your implants to ensure that all is going well.
Both crowns and bridges can be removed and replaced by your dentist without affecting the implant itself.
Before recommending implant surgery we must be sure that you are in good health because certain illnesses, conditions and behaviours such as heavy smoking prevent the dental implants from fusing with the bone. We also need to know about any medications you are taking.
We will create a partial, temporary denture so that the gap will be imperceptible.
